This Poem is just two of many from the book "THE ???" by Marco Gliori

THE PLANETS

If an Alien fired a gun
From the surface of the Sun
He would watch (in great remorse)
While his bullet took this course.

Swerving rather jerkily
The bullet passes Mercury

Then as if it's gone and seen us
It now ricochets off Venus
On and on (for what it's worth)
Heading for - next stop - the Earth
But, thankfully our atmosphere,
Does not make it welcome here.

Shooting out toward the stars
The bullet blazes on past Mars
Going somewhat even loopier
Glancing off the Planet Jupiter.

Following this crazy pattern
Soon, the bullet passes Saturn
Then if all this action drains us
We can rest upon Uranus.
Watching as the bullet, soon,
Hurdles over King Neptune
Skipping Pluto altogether
Heading for the Never Never!

That is rather basically
Our Solar System's family tree.
Until you learn it please beware
There are bullets flying everywhere!
